Dear Moleskine

Those of you that know me well know of my love for writing. Back when life was simpler I had plenty of time and patience to scribble my thoughts down on paper. But four years of college rigor has beaten all the leisure-writing ability out of me. So consider this an attempt to rectify that. Many will wonder (some mockingly so) about why the need/desire to blog. The way I see it, at this point anything that helps me keep in touch with all the people in my life is a good thing. I know from experience that distance can be a female dog. That's why I'm actually thankful for social media now. That being said, it's a little disturbing that pokes and mentions are the new hugs and handshakes. Thus my desire to break the realm of 140 characters. More content, less cut down. Those of you that have seen my writing also know brevity is not my best asset. So this blogging thing seems to be the best option. Random thoughts, life updates, music sharing, monologues, my-now-infamous-sports-rants, musings on the meaning of it all and the things that define me...all that and a medium to keep track of things. A diary. A digital moleskine if you may (credit to Jay Elect for the title).
